What are some good sweet potatoe pie recipes?

I gotta be cookin for turkey day and ive never made it before so help me out by givin me some tasty ones =] most delciious one gets 10 pointsWhat are some good sweet potatoe pie recipes?
Heres a simple yet very gooooood one....and please have a hand help mixer to minimize strings and lumps okay....follow to the ';T'; and you will be fine....





1 unbaked pastry shell, 9-inch (pilsbury is fine)


3 cups cooked, mashed sweet potatoes (2 or 3 large potatoes)


1/4 cup butter


1 tbsp lemon juice


1 1/4 cups sugar


2 large eggs


1/4 cup evaporated milk (or condensed milk, PET is fine)


1 teaspoon nutmeg


1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon








Boil the sweet potatoes until soft and peel.


Combine hot potatoes and butter in a large mixing bowl; mix well. Add sugar and eggs; blend with mixer on low speed until smooth. Add milk and spices. Blend well and pour into pastry-lined pie shell. Bake at 350掳 for 45 to 50 minutes, or until firm.





If you like marshmallows you can top the pie the last 10 minutes of baking time.What are some good sweet potatoe pie recipes?

Mississippi Sweet Potato Pie





Ingredients:


4 ounces butter, softened


2 cups cooked and mashed sweet potatoes


2 cups granulated sugar


1 small can (5 ounces, about 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons) evaporated milk


1 teaspoon vanilla


3 eggs, beaten


1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon


2 prepared pie shells, unbaked





Directions:


Mix butter, potatoes, sugar and evaporated milk until well blended. Add vanilla, eggs, and cinnamon; mix well. Pour into the prepared pie shells. Bake in a 350掳 oven for about 1 hour, until set.


Makes 2 pies.

They gave me the best you take a half stick of butter to a whole one based on how much your going to make and mix it with about 1/4-1/2 cup of brown sugar, and then add a pinch of salt and top it off with maple syrup, this is done on the stove in a pot.





Cut up your sweet potatoes in half make sure you take off the nasty skins, and put your mixture over top and shove it in the oven for about a half hour at 350





Looks great and I am not to hip on sweet potatoes. It was from cooking with the Neely's.
